    At Mums of Steel we provide bring your baby group fitness classes. All of our instructors understand the needs of new mums and our classes are specifically designed to provide our mums with all the support and positive energy they need. The best part is we offer excellent value with classes costing between just ££2.50 to £5 depending on location.

    Post Natal Training Expertise

    With over 25 years of experience Mums of Steel are leading experts in post natal fitness. We have earned a strong reputation that has been built on providing excellent classes that are fun and achievable for all fitness levels. Our foundation lies in having a team of instructors who are fully ante post natal qualified making all of our mums stay safe in sessions and get educated on appropriate exercise advice. We ensure our classes lead to real results helping new mums to recover quickly in order to regain their fitness in the fastest and safest way.

  • GROUP Sessions Offered

    We are really excited you will be booking on to one of our group sessions as a quick reminder:

    • For all of our classes you will need to bring your own mat or towel as we work on mummy tummy exercises in every class.
    • Ensure you are 6 weeks post natal for a vaginal birth or 10 weeks post natal for a C- Section.
    • For Yoga Classes please ensure that you bring your own mat as they will not be provided.

    STROLLER FITNESS

    We go Rain or Shine - Join us!

    Our Stroller Fit classes are a fun and supportive way to regain strength and fitness after having baby while enjoying the fresh air with other local mums. Sessions combine power walking, resistance exercises, core and pelvic floor recovery work, all designed by qualified postnatal fitness experts. Suitable for all fitness levels, these classes help you rebuild confidence, tone your body and boost your energy in a safe and encouraging environment. Best of all, baby gets to come along in the stroller while you exercise, connect and have fun together. We go rain or shine unless severe weather conditions make it unsafe to continue.

    RICKMANSWORTH - Mondays 9.30am Aqua Drome

    Bring Baby Yoga

    Our Bring Baby Yoga classes are a beautiful opportunity for mums to enjoy gentle outdoor yoga while spending time with their baby in a relaxed and supportive environment. Led by a fully qualified yoga teacher, the classes focus on improving flexibility, posture, core strength and relaxation while helping you reconnect with your body after pregnancy. Babies are welcome to lay, sit, play or sleep beside you during the class, creating a calm and natural atmosphere with no pressure or expectations. Suitable for all abilities, these sessions are designed to leave you feeling refreshed, energised and connected. Classes take place outdoors and are weather dependent to ensure everyone enjoys the experience comfortably.

    LEAVESDEN - Tuesdays 2pm Leavesden Country Park

    Class numbers are strictly restricted so be sure to book up for the course as soon as possible

    You must bring your own yoga mat, yoga strap and something for baby to lay on. Non noisey toys and snacks are welcome. This is an outdoor class in a park so please be aware of this.

Every session is tailored to your individual goals, fitness level and postnatal recovery needs, helping you rebuild strength, confidence and energy at your own pace. Best of all, baby is welcome to come along too, making it easier to prioritise your health without needing childcare. Whether your goal is weight loss, core recovery, improved fitness or simply feeling stronger again, we are here to help you every step of the way.

    Buddy Training - 2/3 People one price

    Train with your friend and SAVE.

    Enjoy all the benefits of personal training while sharing the experience with friends or other like-minded mums. Our small group training sessions are fun, motivating and designed to help you achieve real results in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Workouts combine strength, cardio, core and postnatal recovery exercises with expert coaching to ensure every mum exercises safely and effectively. Training in a group creates accountability, confidence and support while still allowing for individual attention and modifications. Bring your baby along, meet other local mums and enjoy exercising together while building a stronger, healthier you.

  • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    What is Mums of Steel?
    An exercise company that gets mums and babies to enjoy the benefits of exercise together. Classes are taught by qualified post natal instructors and are fun for both mums and babies. It brings mums to a great social environment while still able to bond with baby and get fit!

    What Kind of Exercise is it?
    We have 5 different types of classes. Each one offers a different atmosphere. All classes have some fundamentals in common including:

    During each class students are burning calories and toning up.
    Specific exercises focus on stomach muscles and pelvic floor work to suit the needs of the post partum mum.
    Classes are available for all levels of fitness.
    Mums of Steel instructors encourage you to do your best and work at your own fitness level.
    All mums must have approval from their midwife or doctor and be at least 6 weeks post natal for a natural birth or 10 weeks post c section to participate.
    How old should my baby be?
    Babies need to be at least 6 weeks old and up. If you have had a C-Section you should be 10 weeks post natal. We accept children up to 5 years old. For our outdoor classes where a stroller is involved you will need to make sure baby is content to sit in a stroller for at least an hour. You will need to ensure that the baby has proper neck support if required. For our indoor classes be sure to bring a blanket to lay baby on and for toddlers a favourite toy to keep them busy.

    What if my baby gets fussy or cries?
    Your baby is your first priority. The beauty of Mums of Steel classes is we are aware of the situation of mums with babies and understand they can become fussy from time to time. We embrace the challenges and celebrate the support that this group environment can provide. If your baby becomes fussy you are encouraged to take your time and soothe your baby. Do not worry about disturbing other class mates we are all mums in the same boat.

    Does it run in any weather?
    One thing we can never control is the weather. For outdoor classes we will teach during cloud, wind and rain. Remember we go rain or shine. If the weather is extremely bad and the MET office has issued an official weather warning the class maybe cancelled. Please call Mums of Steel prior to your class to see if it has been cancelled. Keep in mind that during not so nice days you should ensure you and baby are bundled up and there is a wind/rain protector for your pram.

    What should I bring to class?
    For all classes please make sure you bring a mat or towel to lie on, water bottle and sweat towel. We recommend you bring all of the usual necessities for your baby that you would normally take when going for a walk with your pram. For outdoor classes we recommend that you additionally bring sunscreen, a hat, extra layer of clothing for both you and baby. As well you will need a towel or mat in order to do some work on the grass. Please be aware that if you have any questions regarding this to give us a call.
